We are very excited to have been invited to attend the Berlin Improv Festival in March 2014! This will be the first time ever in the festival’s 13 year history where they have hosted a high school improv group and we’re excited to be part of this unique event! Over their 10 day stay in Berlin, our students will participate in 4 days of workshops from two different instructors (not from the US or Canada) and will perform for a local school audience at the end. They also will be enjoying the festival performances and taking time to visit the historic city of Berlin itself. For a group of 16 students, the total cost is $32,000 CDN which includes their return airfare, ground transportation, accommodations, workshops and access to the festival. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 to help reduce the per student cost to approximately $1,600. The Victoria High School (Vic High) Improv Club is all about giving students the opportunity to build excellent team work and public speaking skills and above all, to have fun! The club is run by Jonathan Argue (Improviser, past Managing Director of the Impromaniacs Theatre Company Society) and Kim Sholinder (Drama Teacher, Vic High).
